What can be said about a man who lives, breathes, eats, and sleeps design? And not always in that order either. Byron Slaybaugh is a Dallas based designer who is continually inspired by the world that surrounds him. He recognizes that God Almighty in His infinite majesty has supplied enough inspiration through His creation to inspire a man his entire life.

From an early age Byron knew what he wanted to do for a living. Someone once told him, "find something that you love doing. Something that you could do the rest of your life for free, and find a way to make a living doing it." He did not take this advice lightly. Since then he has been learning, trying, testing, and creating anything and everything he can. Whether it be on canvas or in 3D, Byron sees the opportunity for creativity to prevail no matter the circumstance.

| PHILOSIPHY
"Design is a majestic beast that can not be tamed. As soon as you feel you have it under control it bucks you off and throws you to the ground. I believe that most designers, artists, and others of the like are their own worst enemy. We are the hardest on ourselves, and for good reason. If I finished a design and felt completely confident that 'this is the way it should look' then the reality of creativity and individualism would cease to exist. I could have taken any number of roads to get to that 'final' design but depending upon which road I ended up taking it would look different each time. Therein lies the beauty of the heart behind design. Good design is not copying the exact method someone else used to achieve a certain result. Good design is plowing your way through the walls within yourself to find that place where for just a brief moment you feel as though you have told a small part of your story. If it comes from the heart it doesn't matter if you 'fail' or other people don't like it. Design deserves heart, and the heart deserves good design."
